Postdoctoral Fellow

The Acadia
Bioorganic Chemistry Laboratory (ABCL) seeks qualified applicants for a temporary appointment as
a Postdoctoral Fellow in an externally funded Medicinal Chemistry
Project.
Duties:
The appointee will be expected to perform research under the
direction of Dr Amitabh Jha (Professor, Department of
Chemistry). The proposed research involves design, synthesis, formulation and
bioevaluation of
potential pharmaceuticals.
Qualifications:
The candidate must have a PhD degree in Pharmaceutical Chemistry/Drug Formulation or a
closely related discipline. Some proven
relevant experience is
especially desirable. Good written and communication skills in
English will be an asset.
Term:
This position is available for one year. Further extension will
depend on funding situation.
Salary:
$36,000 per annum (+ benefits), less mandatory deductions.
