Overview

Here is photo of the flag of the CRIC (Consejo Regional Indígena del Cauca, or Regional Indigenous Council of Cauca). The CRIC was established in 1971, in the Municipality of Toribío, Department of Cauca, by native priest Álvaro Ulcué Chocué to defend these minorities' rights (they do not replace civil, judicial, military or economic government authorities).
