CHEM2813 - Analytical Chemistry 1:
Classical Methods
An introduction to chemical analysis: statistical data evaluation,
gravimetry and titrimetry, basics of potentiometry, UV-Vis spectroscopy and
chromatography.
CHEM3823 - Analytical Chemistry 2:
Instrumental Methods
Molecular and atomic spectrometry, gas and liquid chromatography.
CHEM4803– Advanced Chemical
Instrumentation
Experimental data acquisition and conditioning. Selected
electroanalytical, spectrometric and surface analytical methods.
CHEM2853 - Environmental Analytical
Chemistry
Introduction to chemical analysis with an emphasis on the chemistry
of the environment. Examples studied will be taken from air, aquatic and
terrestrial sources.
CHEM1023 – Fundamental Chemistry II
Properties of gases, liquids, solids, and solutions, chemical
kinetics, chemical equilibria, acids and bases, entropy and free energy,
and electrochemistry.
CHEM2103 – Physical Chemistry 1:
Chemical Thermodynamics
Principles of chemical thermodynamics. Topics to be covered include
the first, second and third laws of thermodynamics and the application of
classical thermodynamics to chemical and phase equilibria and
electrochemistry.
