Dr. Dan P. Toews -

The comparative physiology of live amphibians constitutes our main program of research.

In recent years, research topics have included:

        1.  Physiology of the lymphatic system

        2.  Ionic and water movement across the skin and between internal body compartments

        3.  Endocrinology of water and ion transport processes

        4.  Acid-base regulation

        5.  Respiratory physiology

Our main interest lies in the study of live, freely moving animals as they interact with their environment.
