| 4183 -- Secondary Mathematics Methods | 4183 is a course in teaching secondary level mathematics with emphasis on the subject matter of the curriculum of Nova Scotia. |
| 4173 -- Elementary Mathematics Methods | 4173 is a course in teaching elementary mathematics with emphasis on the subject matter of the curriculum of Nova Scotia. |
| 4783 -- Issues in Secondary Mathematics Education | 4783 is a follow-up to 4183, with a focus on issues. It is required for those Secondary students with mathematics as their first teachable area. Those with mathematics as their second teachable must take 40c3. |
| 40b3 -- Issues in Elementary Mathematics Education | 40b3 is a follow-up to 4173, with a focus on issues. It is a required course for students in the Elementary program. |
| 40C3 -- Teaching Mathematics in Middle School | 40c3 is a course in teaching middle school level mathematics with emphasis on the subject matter of the curriculum of Nova Scotia. It is available as an elective to students in both the Elementary and Secondary programmes who have taken 4173 or 4183. It can be used to fulfil the requirement for a second course in mathematics education for those Secondary students with mathematics as their second teachable area. |

| Graduate Programme |
The M.Ed. in Curriculum includes a concentration in Science, Math, and Technology. This program is designed for teachers at any grade level with an interest in mathematics, or science teaching in the context of a society that has been transformed by digital technologies. Particular attention is paid to factors influencing the development of curriculum given important recent developments in technology, science, and mathematics. |
