Searching for NMR Data with Reaxys

Select [Substances] from the main menu.
Open the Structure Editor to draw your compound or enter the name in the Identification window.

The structure editor lets you input all or part of the structure.

Note: The name must be exactly as it has been entered into the database and some compounds have multiple names or ways of writing their names.
The Structure Editor is similar to using ChemDraw or similar software.

Draw your structure and then click [Transfer Query].
Click [Search Substances] to begin searching.
Find the compound you are searching for in the list of results.

Under Available Data click [Spectra(#)] to find literature sources on NMR data.

Note: There may be no spectra data available and you need to find the data by searching for the synthesis of the compound.
Although NMR data are the most common spectral data, other spectral data (e.g., IR, Raman, UV-Vis) can also be found under Spectra.
Search the list for the neulus of interest and click [Full Text] to be directed to an electronic copy of the journal article.
We may not have access to an electronic copy of the journal article. You can either request a copy through interlibrary loan, or try searching one of the other search results.

Note:The data you are looking for may be in the Supporting Information instead of the main article.
