Congratulations to Dr. Gail Dinter-Gottlieb,
 one of Atlantic Canada’s Top 50 Chief Executive Officers

 

(Wolfville, NS) -    Ron Smith, Chair of Acadia University’s Board of Governors, today congratulated Dr. Gail Dinter-Gottlieb, Acadia’s President and Vice-Chancellor, on being selected as one of Atlantic Business magazine’s Top 50 Atlantic Canadian Chief Executive Officers. Dr. Gottlieb’s selection was announced by Atlantic Business at an evening reception and dinner in Halifax on May 11.

“On behalf of everyone at Acadia, including the University’s Board of Governors, I congratulate Dr. Gottlieb for both the work she is doing at Acadia and for being recognized for her efforts by her Atlantic Canadian peers,” said Mr. Smith. “This honour for Dr. Gottlieb reflects the positive momentum at Acadia, particularly her strategic leadership that has focused the University community on its core strengths and renewed its determination to provide Acadia students with a well-rounded education through an exceptional campus experience, increased environmental awareness and innovative opportunities for them to explore different academic disciplines.”

According to Atlantic Business, the winners are chosen based on the nominee’s proven managerial acumen in the face of adversity; revenue and employee growth over a three-year period; depth of community involvement and voluntary activity; and, documented industry leadership.
