Acadia University launches Access Acadia - a new admission, registration and scholarship program

(Wolfville, NS) -    Acadia University today launched Access Acadia, a faster and easier admission and registration process for prospective students, which includes a comprehensive scholarship program.

This new initiative gives prospective Acadia students the convenience of applying for earlier admission by self-reporting grades on-line. Once an application has been made and grades have been reported, students can receive a conditional offer of acceptance in as little as three weeks. This offer of admission will then be confirmed when final transcripts are received in June.

The Access Acadia program also offers prospective students the opportunity to secure scholarships, along with their residence rooms, and be registered for classes before they even graduate from grade 12.

Applying early to Acadia University has its privileges. Acadia’s Scholarships, Prizes and Awards Committee have designated over $500,000 for early scholarship offers. Qualified students will receive offers of scholarships along with their offers of admission to the University.

Also new this year, as part of the Access Acadia initiative, is the opportunity for admitted students to register for their classes during Experience Acadia Days in March or starting on March 21 if they are unable to be on campus. The ability to choose classes earlier, helps first-year students complete the application process and finalize their arrangements with Acadia before high school graduation.

To take advantage of this quick and convenient admission process, prospective students only need to visit Acadia’s specially developed student portal at http://4u.acadiau.ca. There, students can make an on-line application, self-report grades, and pay application and confirmation fees safely and quickly.

Acadia University, in Wolfville, Nova Scotia, has long been recognized as one of Canada’s premier undergraduate institutions. With its nationally and internationally recognized research initiatives, small class sizes and technology-rich teaching and learning environment, Acadia offers students an experience that includes academic achievement combined with personal growth and development.
