(Wolfville, NS) -
Acadia University will resume normal operations November 17, 2004.
Students are expected to return to class and staff are expected to
report for work in the usual fashion.
In the meantime, the majority of the University’s facilities will
begin to return to normal with the return of electrical power. All
residences are open and students can return to their rooms. Meals
will be offered in Wheelock Hall and most campus food outlets are
open regular schedules.
Students who are scheduled to write exams or submit assignments when
classes resume are asked to contact their professors. Because of the
extraordinary circumstances of the temporary closure, Faculty are
being asked to provide students with time to regroup and to show
some flexibility in the return to normal academic activities.
The University’s athletic complex will reopen at 12:00 noon today,
with the exception of the ice rink which will remain closed
indefinitely. An announcement will be made in the near future giving
a precise date for the reopening of the rink.
The University Library will reopen today at 12:00 noon and the K.C.
Irving Environmental Science Centre is open.
The on-campus student medical clinic will be open regular hours.
