University and Faculty Association Reach Tentative Agreement

NS) - Negotiators for the Acadia University Board of
Governors and the Acadia University Faculty Association today
reached a tentative collective agreement.
Details of the
agreement are not being released pending ratification by members of
the Faculty Association and the Board of Governors.
The tentative
agreement means picket lines around Acadia will come down at 8:00
a.m. March 8 and faculty members will return to their offices to
prepare for the resumption of classes. All campus buildings will be
open at their usual times Monday morning and faculty members will
have full access to their e-mail accounts and be available to meet
with students. Classes are scheduled to begin March 11th provided
the Collective Agreement is ratified by both the Board and the
Acadia University Faculty Association.
