For Release:  March 7, 2004

(Wolfville, NS) -  Negotiators for the Acadia University Board of Governors and the Acadia University Faculty Association today reached a tentative collective agreement.

Details of the agreement are not being released pending ratification by members of the Faculty Association and the Board of Governors.

The tentative agreement means picket lines around Acadia will come down at 8:00 a.m. March 8 and faculty members will return to their offices to prepare for the resumption of classes. All campus buildings will be open at their usual times Monday morning and faculty members will have full access to their e-mail accounts and be available to meet with students. Classes are scheduled to begin March 11th provided the Collective Agreement is ratified by both the Board and the Acadia University Faculty Association.
