(Wolfville,

Strategic Partnership with IMP Solutions that will involve the two

vision and planning, and in the management of strategic technology
initiatives.
“Acadia is a leader in
the use of computer hardware and software to deliver courses and
curriculum,” said Dr. Gail Dinter-Gottlieb, President and
Vice-Chancellor of Acadia. “While our computing capacity has
expanded, we now need to look at how we can better integrate our
systems and capitalize on industry trends to improve the quality of
our IT delivery and preserve the integrity of our technology-rich
environment.”
“IMP Solutions is
excited about the opportunity to work with Acadia,” said Darrell
Taylor, Sr. Vice-President and Chief Information Officer of IMP
Group Ltd. “As part of this Strategic Partnership we will also be
leveraging the expertise of the internal IT divisions of IMP Group
Ltd.”
This partnership
complements a campus-wide strategic planning exercise launched in
September, 2004. The Strategic Plan is an extensive consultation
with faculty, staff and students intended to ensure Acadia’s
curriculum, infrastructure and business practices keep the
University at the leading edge of post-secondary education.
“Acadia’s complex IT
environment, combined with the high degree of academic familiarity
with computer systems on campus, means we can explore a number of
innovative solutions that will add value to the outcome of its
strategic planning exercise,” said Jerry Lawson, Vice- President and
General Manager of IMP Solutions.
