(Wolfville,
NS) - Acadia University’s Accounting Society will host
its 2nd annual pre-banquet plenary session on October 14th, from
4:45 to 5:45 p.m. at the K.C. Irving Centre Auditorium.
During the session a
panel of speakers will offer their thoughts on the proposed CA-CMA
merger and its likely impact on the national accounting profession.
Speakers’ comments will be followed by a general discussion.
The panel consists of
Alex MacBeath (CA) CEO & Executive Partner of Grant Thornton, John
McCulloch, B.Comm, MBA, CGA Controller, Karlsen Shipping Company
Limited, and Amanda Whitewood (CMA), VP Finance and Administration
of Mount St. Vincent University and past president of CMA Nova
Scotia.
