IDs, Library Cards, Meal Cards, and Computer Accounts

You must do these things in person!

Although you register and pay your tuition by the Internet or by mail, you must get your identification card and computer account in person if you do not have a card from last year.

Each student at Acadia needs a photo ID card (your AXCESS Acadia Card).  You will use this card as a library card, meal card, debit card for purchases, access to some residence and room doors, as well as access to the Athletics Complex.  You also need a card to identify yourself as an Acadia student for athletic and Students’ Union events.

Dates/Times/Location for I.D. Card, PIN Processing and Laptop Pickup will be provided to you by User Support as a separate mailing.

What do I need to bring to get my Acadia ID card?
You must bring picture ID that has your birthdate on it, such as Drivers’ License (Highschool ID not accepted).  You must be registered for your courses and know your student number.

Computer accounts/PIN Numbers – new students
Just after you obtain your ID card, you should apply for your computer account on the Acadia University system.  You will need this account for your Acadia laptop computer usage.

When you set up your computer account, you will have to provide a PIN (Personal Identification Number).  Think of a PIN that is meaningful to you - that you won't forget and have it ready when you come for your ID.  Your PIN must be between 6 – 8 characters long and contain at least 1 letter and 1 number.

Keep this PIN safe – it’s just like a bank card PIN – it allows others to access your personal information!!
