to Grade 11 core French some years ago) but basically need to start over.

French Placement Test

All students who have never taken a French course at Acadia before must take the French Placement Test, available on the web at http://aitt.acadiau.ca/guest/french.  The score you see on the computer screen will aid you in placing yourself at the appropriate level.  Students

unable to take the test over the summer should do so once they arrive on campus in September.  No special permission is required from the French department for entry into 1000-level courses, but instructors will check during the first week of classes to see that students are at the appropriate level and may request that you change levels. Students with Grade 12 high school French will not normally be accepted into Fran 1113/1123.

Students wishing to enter courses at the 3000 and 4000 level must have successfully completed FRAN 2013/23 or equivalent.
