Introduction to principles of sound recording, including acoustics and
psychoacoustics. Recording equipment, from microphones, signal processing and
consoles, to analog and digital audio systems. Pre-production, production and
post-production, including editing, and master tape/CD preparation. The course
includes practical work in the Acadia digital recording studio.
