Rock structures and their geometric representation. Principles of
stress and strain applied to brittle and ductile rock deformation.
Fractures, faults, folds, and foliations: classification, mechanisms
of formations, and tectonic environments. Practical work includes map
interpretation, and graphic and computer techniques for analyzing
structural data, and field studies of different types of deformed
rocks. (3h lab)
