This course is designed for students who do not speak English as a
first language. The course will focus primarily on the development of
writing skills. Special attention will be given to fundamentals of
grammar, vocabulary building, sentence structure, analysis of texts
and the organization of written argument. Different forms of writing
will be examined through reading and responding to short texts
presented in a variety of styles.
Prereq: By interview and permission of the department. This is a credit
course.
