This courses presents the role of a recreation management professional
as one who assists organizations and individuals to meet self identified
goals. The process of facilitating individual and group action is
examined and essential skills are studied and practiced. Topics include
facilitating the creation, structuring/re-structuring and partnering of
organization for action, the role of the professional in facilitating
the work of volunteer boards, and the facilitation of processes to
resolve conflicts, make decisions and identify and solve problems.
Emphasis is placed on practice.
