Sport history provides a window into society's culture. This course explores the social history of a selected number of countries through a study of their sporting traditions. Topics may include sumo (Japan), soccer and cricket (Great Britain), baseball (United States), hockey and football (Canada), and Australian Rules Football (Australia).
