An introduction to the study of economics which addresses the economic problems confronted by individual persons, firms, markets and industries and also those problems confronting the entire economy, namely inflation, unemployment, national income determination, money and banking, interest rates, the balance of payments and the role of government. Econ 1006 and the combination of Econ 1013 and Econ 1023 are identical in content and, as such, satisfy equally all degree program requirements (e.g., BBA).
