The fundamentals of Spanish are presented with a variety of effective
teaching methods with emphasis on both oral and written expression.
Customs and culture of the Spanish-speaking world are introduced
through readings, films, music, and contact with Spanish speakers. A
language laboratory, a tutoring service, and an optional conversation
session in a relaxed atmosphere are available to students so that
they can take full advantage of the course. By the end of the first
year the student will have mastered the essentials of the Spanish
language.
