PHYS 4223 ADVANCED ELECTROMAGNETISM 2

Green's theorem and the properties of special functions are used to solve electrostatic problems which have complex geometries. Approximations made in moving from a microscopic description to Maxwell's macroscopic equations are investigated. The intrinsic connection between electric and magnetic fields is discussed using relativistic transformations.
