PHIL 3213 JUSTICE AND LAW

Justice is the concern of lawyers. Nevertheless, a study of the preoccupations of lawyers does not even begin to exhaust the idea of justice. Justice as an ideal held by legislators, educators, philanthropists, philosophers and the person in the street goes far beyond the interests of a professional class "centred on the process of trial and adjudication". The intent is to display the relation between law and justice, and to elucidate the ideal of justice as fairness.
Prereq: One year of university study.
