Topics considered include self-consciousness, human freedom and political order, the grounds of knowledge, the nature of religion, and the possibility of a systematic science of philosophy. Other figures studied may include Fichte, Schelling, Schopenhauer, Marx, Nietzsche, Kierkegaard.
