This course is designed to give students a measure of insight into modern mathematics, especially those looking forward to a career in elementary education. Topics will include propositional logic, number systems, calculus of sets, solution of equations and inequalities, and geometry. Emphasis is placed on the understanding and use of the various concepts that are introduced. Science students and mathematics majors may not receive credit for this course.
